Description

In this three-hour workshop for intermediate potters, instructor Francis DeFabo will demonstrate carving techniques. You may bring one or two leather hard pieces (mug, vase, etc) or select from pieces the instructor has available for purchase. Leather hard tiles will be available for you to practice the technique before working on the final form(s). You will select from several glaze choices that we will apply after we bisque your pieces. Tools will be available, and a basic carving set is included in your materials fee that will be yours to keep! Feel free to bring your favorite tools as well. Once finished, we'll bisque fire them for you and glaze in a color of your choice. After the glaze firing, we'll notify you to pick up your work via email. Please pick up work within 2 weeks of your notification.
