Are you an intermediate potter with experience throwing and centering on the wheel? Join our pottery lamp-making workshop, where you'll learn to create ceramic lamp bases using wheel throwing and altering techniques. We'll cover essential considerations, such as planning for cords, plugs, and lamp fittings during the design and creation process. Participants will have the option to work with a recommended local expert to electrify their lamp bases or to use easy-to-find commercial kits to complete the electrification at home. You will select from several glaze choices that we will apply after we bisque your pieces. Your lamp base will be ready to pick up in about 2 weeks after the class date!
