Explore your creative side at Main Exhibit Gallery & Art Center! All classes are held at our fully accessible Art Center in the heart of Ligonier, 301 West Main Street. Christmas is coming and we know many of you like to get started early with Christmas decorating and gifts! These Dr. Seuss-inspired ceramic trees are back by popular demand! Under the guidance of Instructor Cray Charlebois, you'll learn the basics of working with clay coiling as you form a set of Christmas trees, in perfect timing for the holiday season! Cray will have several pieces on display to inspire you as you work. She'll help you learn the coil technique, form your trees, and work with underglazes to embellish them with Christmas designs. After they dry, we'll bisque-fire them for you and then glaze-fire them, and let you know via email when they're available for pickup.* This workshop is for ages 14 and up. (We welcome 9-13 year-olds if accompanied by a responsible adult.) Go solo or invite a friend or family member to take the class with you! You might get messy, so bring an apron or wear work clothes and closed shoes that can get dirty, and leave your rings and fine jewelry at home. We have space for up to 8 participants in this class. Free parking is available to all students! Registration required.
