Nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, the Ligonier Valley Library stands as a cornerstone of our community’s intellectual and cultural life. Since our establishment in 1946, we have served as a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and lifelong learning for residents of Ligonier and surrounding communities. 

Within our welcoming walls, you’ll find a carefully curated collection of over 45,000 items, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, and digital resources. Our dedicated staff provides expert assistance with research, technology, and reading recommendations. From our vibrant children’s programming to our engaging adult events, we offer something for every age and interest.

The library is also home to the Pennsylvania Room, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Pennsylvania, Westmoreland County, and the Ligonier Valley. The Pennsylvania Room collections include resources for genealogists, historians, educators, researchers, and anyone curious about local history.
